This hair clip is inspired by the decorative geometric pattern found in Mayan architecture.  This clip features two textures that are either contrasting or complementary. Each clip is made out of acetate and metal.

ABOUT THE MAKER

Paulina Otero is a Mexican fiber artist and jewelry designer creating tactile, abstract pieces inspired by her childhood in Mexico. Using yarn, wood, felt, and plexiglass, her work blends industrial and domestic materials to evoke nostalgia through color, form, and texture. She’s based in Kansas City and Cancún, with work shown in museums and shops across the U.S.
