ABOUT THE MAKER

M.G. Hughes is a Black and Filipino poet and novelist from Oceanside, CA. Encouraged by her educator grandmother, she’s been writing since childhood. A recent grad of SNHU with a BA in Professional Writing, she explores identity, history, and storytelling in her work. She lives in San Diego with her houseplants and German Shepherd.
